1- CHECK IN can be done from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please inform us if you arrive after 7:00 p.m. as we close the main door and the reception. Request free early check-in at our property.
2- CHECK OUT can be done until 11:00 a.m. Check with us about the availability of a courtesy late check-out.
3- Your deposit will be refunded if you CANCEL the reservation 30 days before the ARRIVAL DATE. The guarantee is only refundable if you cancel within 30 days prior to ARRIVAL DATE.
4- All CANCELLATIONS can be made by PHONE or EMAIL and will be supported by a letter from our hotel as proof of the cancellation of the reservation.
5- NO SHOW / EARLY CHECK-OUT will be paid in full.
6- Children under six years old do not pay for accommodation.
7- We reserve our right of admission.

Following the guidelines established by the Ministry of Health of Costa Rica, the use of a mask is mandatory when checking in or checking out, in common areas and when speaking with staff or other guests of the hotel. Río Chirripó Lodge & Retreat.
MEALS
We do our best to serve fresh food at our meals. All food is homemade and organic, when possible. We have a specific dinner menu for each day of the week. Please request our menu in advance if you would like to see it. Dinner costs $38 per person, including tax, and consists of 4 courses (2 appetizers, main course and dessert). Dinner is served from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and requires prior reservation. Ask about our Children’s Menu.
Río Chirripó does not have a restaurant or a la carte menu. You must let us know if you are vegetarian or have any allergies that we must take into account when planning our menu. If you wish to cancel a meal with us, you must do so at least one day in advance (24 hours); Otherwise, the full fee will be charged if you do not show up at the time of service.
Breakfast is served from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Remember that breakfast is included in the room price.
NO SMOKING POLICY
Río Chirripó is 100% smoke-free. Ensure that our facilities are not exposed to elements or actions that generate unhealthy fragrances or odors and, therefore, may negatively affect the stay of our guests. guests by compromising the purity of the air and the cleanliness of walls and furniture; For this reason, smoking tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, electronic cigarettes, vape pens, among others, is prohibited by Costa Rican legislation Law No. 9028. EXTERNAL VISITING AND PRIVACY POLICIES
Río Chirripó is characterized by creating an environment of privacy and tranquility for all our guests during their visit; Therefore, the facilities are solely and exclusively for clients who contract the hosting service. During your stay at the Hotel, you may wish to receive visits from friends, family or other external guests, who are not staying with us. In that case, you must notify your arrival directly at reception in advance, and you must also present your respective identification (DNI or passport). No minor will be admitted unless traveling with a parent or legal guardian. The use of the facilities for external clients (swimming pool, jacuzzi, river and other areas) has an additional charge of USD 15 per person, which will be charged to your account. Visiting hours are 8 a.m. :30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (This schedule may vary if you hire the breakfast or dinner service)
FACILITY USE AND SECURITY POLICY
- Use of the pool and jacuzzi area is from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm.
- Access to the river is at your own risk; Río Chirripó recommends not entering this area, since the strong currents and heads of water can cause emergencies or accidents.
- All children or minors must remain under the strict supervision of their parents.
- We hope you understand that we are trying to provide everyone with an environment of peace and tranquility.
PETS POLICY
We are pleased to be a pet-friendly facility. And we present our program, HAPPY PETS AT RIO, to guarantee the comfort of all our guests; We have important information you should keep in mind:
- We only allow pets in our deluxe room category, as these rooms are separate buildings on the property; Pets are not allowed in standard rooms due to space and proximity to other guests.
- We have a pet fee of $25 per night that will be added to the room rate.
- The pet must be kept on a leash or cage in the hotel or on hotel property unless it is in the guest’s room. We ask that you keep your pets under surveillance and do not leave them alone during your stay in Rio Chirripo.
- To avoid problems with other guests, pets are not allowed in our restaurant/bar area during meal services (Breakfast 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. / Dinner 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.).
- We only accept small pets, under 15 pounds, maximum one pet per room.
- The pet must be fully trained and properly restrained by the guest.
- The pet must meet the requirements of animal health legislation. Up to date on vaccinations required by state law and free of infections or parasites such as fleas.
- Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets on hotel property and in the neighborhood.
- Any disturbances, such as barking, should be reduced to ensure that other guests are not disturbed.
- Guests must coordinate housekeeping with the front desk department in advance for a convenient time for their room service. Cleaning services for rooms with pets require the presence of the pet owner, or the pet must be in a cage.
- Guests are responsible for all property damage and personal injuries resulting from their pets. Damage caused to furniture, such as mattresses, cushions, chairs or floors, will result in loss to Río Chirripó; Fees will be based on repair costs starting at $150 for property damage which will be charged to your account.
