Retreating one more year at Rio Chirripo Lodge

Retreat season 2020 officially began last January and the family of Rio Chirripo Lodge & Retreat is very excited about telling you a bit of what was the second yoga retreat we had the chance to hold at the end of the last month of February.

We are very thankful to all participants who attended to this truly magical experience and hope to have the chance to welcome them again next year. Most of them had visited us several times, so it was so nice to see them again and some others enjoyed our exclusive location for their first time.

Although it was only a couple of nights, we can say that this precious time was full of good vibes and positive energy which made us feel blessed and very privileged; they all stole our hearts.

This retreat was the chance for all participants who needed to renovate their inner energy and experience a real and true connection between themselves and nature around.

Surrounded by the green sacred Chirripo mountains, Leah, created a perfect environment for participants to connect with themselves and others which involves not only a memorable experience for all of them but a unique opportunity for the ones who were looking for internal peace and plentiful relaxation.

During three nights and four days full of discovering they all experienced amazing sceneries, besides sights, smells, and amazing sounds of the Costa Rican forests while participating in daily meditation time and yoga practices during mornings and afternoons.

We had the chance to talk with Holly, one of the participants, about what it meant for her to stay with us and she had this to say:

Rio Chirripo Lodge and Our recent yoga retreat at Rio Chirripó Lodge was incredible. The setting is magical. Nestled in amongst the green mountains, surrounded by a gorgeous and lovingly tended garden, and with the river flowing below, you’re able to finally relax from the typical pressures and fast pace of the outside world. The yoga studio is amazing, with its open-air sides that look out on the beauty around you. The food is top-notch; all freshly prepared with love, and with elements from the garden around you! During the day you can swim in the river or the pool, and rock hop from boulder to boulder, and at night you can sit out and enjoy the stars. If you’d like to explore beyond the immediate property, the little town nearby has a lot to offer as well, like a secret garden, a butterfly dome, a waterfall trail, and even Costa Rica’s tallest mountain train all lie within walking distance of the entrance to Rio Chirripo Lodge. After a retreat at this incredible place, you will feel refreshed and recharged, and you will without a doubt want to come back again, and again, and again…

Spending this time at Rio Chirripo was a perfect chance for guests to enjoy a variety of homemade and vegetarian meals, prepared with lots of love using fresh and local ingredients from our garden and area. Participants found real relaxation in our hot tubs, went in the cold waters of the Talari river and hiked the trail around our property.  It was not only an opportunity to experience yoga and meditation by a great instructor but a chance to find inspiration, lose fears, find themselves and grow peace from a wonderful country and extraordinary location.
